Queenstown Helicopter Weddings at Lake Quill
Our most exclusive and elusive helicopter wedding location is Lake Quill. This dramatic alpine lake feeds directly into New Zealand’s tallest waterfall and provides the most stunning backdrop for your wedding ceremony and wedding photos. Located within Fiordland National park and near the West Coast means Lake Quill receives a lot of rain and can be tricky to access. But if you can be flexible and trust our judgement on the weather then a Lake Quill wedding is so worth it!Â
During winter (June-August) the lake will be fully frozen, but Spring, Summer and Autumn are all beautiful at Lake Quill. There are a few different landing locations which all offer amazing views, and with a 30 minute flight to get there you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the vast mountain landscape.
Lake Quill is one of our more remote and secluded helicopter wedding locations. We love to pair this spot with an additional landing at Madagascar Beach, Tyndall Glacier or The Remarkables.
